Rusty Heartstrings

"In a trivialized, homogenized, sanitized world of chain stores, chain restaurants, and chain people, he was one of the few individuals who was still in tune and in touch. Willie was a life spirit and his guitar was strung with rusty heartstrings that had magically brought love into people's lives." Kinky Friedman

In the twilight glow I see her
Blue eyes crying in the rain
When we kissed goodbye and parted
I knew we'd never meet again
Love is like a dying ember
And only memories remain
And through the ages I'll remember
Blue eyes crying in the rain
Someday when we meet up yonder
We'll stroll hand in hand again
In the land that knows no parting
Blue eyes crying in the rain

"Nothing can destroy anything that doesn't want to be destroyed," said Willie, taking another long hit on the salami. "I don't believe in death. It's just a part of life, part of country music. It's just like winning or losing a game of chess as you're moving through somebody else's time and space like the highway men on horseback painted on the back of this bus. How do you thing they feel?" Willie Nelson

Happy trails, yall. Time for me to mosey on down the starlit trail. I shall return.

ps - "Jesus Christ." "That's what Willie said. Only he mentioned his middle name too." "H.?" I said. "No," said Just Bill, "Fuckin'."

PB! I have been wondering how you were doing. Ironically, the day before you posted this comment, I had a meeting at your office with some folks to discuss some possible projects. Made me wonder how you have been.

The post display setting controls how many are on page. You can select a number or range of dates, etc.

Yep, life is busy as usual, but overall I am doing well. I am trying to schedule some time off from 24th thru 4th; but looking like I can't get all of it due to the current work load.

I hope all is well with you.

I will copy this comment into a post on your blog in the event you don't return to my comments to check for a response.

Let me know if you need anything. Hope to hear from you soon :)

Was hoping you would slow down long enough to check your blog again. I had hoped my post would come as a pleasant surprise.

Need anything...me? I won't go there now. But thanks.

What did the Moraninites tell you I was up to? I know the day I called you, I thought I was going to get let go, as I didn't know wtf was going on. It's all crystal clear now though. Looks like I'll be back somewhere around the last week of January. Enjoying not working, but other than that, it's a bummed out Christmas once again. And New Years will be quite anti-climactic to say the least. C'est la vie.

Well, I bid you a fond adios, and wish you a joyous Christmas.

Peace.
PB
